Medical Faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen

The Medical Faculty Duisburg-Essen has been a member of the Assessment Network since autumn 2019.

In the context of digitisation, it is our greatest endeavour to get our central tasks set out in this respect. The quality & variety of the tools offered by UCAN was the decisive point for us to decide for the cooperation. The exchange of items is another important aspect. Not only because of the high number of items, but also because of the quality assured by the standardized review procedure.

It is also important for us to implement other item types in the foreseeable future, which should succeed in any case with the question types offered in the IMS. We will first carry out individual tests with tEXAM. At the beginning of the new year we will take the first practical exams with tOSCE. For the summer semester 2020 we hope to be able to perform our central final examinations with tEXAM.
